"When infrared becomes a heartwarming story

As a director and director of photography, I have always believed that the visual component of a work of art must be uncompromising, bold, innovative, and aesthetically pure. And it was precisely the discovery of new photographic approaches that also encompass the invisible spectrum that opened up a new dimension for me. Shortly after, I became an ambassador for the American company Kolari Vision, which deals with camera modifications for recording in the infrared and ultraviolet spectrum.

The filming of the video for the band Siddharta had its own prehistory and quite a winding path. I presented the first conceptual sketches to the band last spring, and they gave the green light without hesitation. A long testing process followed, a new medium also requires a new approach, new thinking. Countless hours are with me patiently survived by the director of photography Darko Herič, with whom we delved into every detail of light, contrast and material.

When we were finally ready in the summer of 2024, nature said otherwise, too hot for the costumes, too strong a sun, the dancers exhausted after the first day. We moved the filming to rainy September, where we waited for the sun, which did not and did not exist. In the meantime, we shot another video "Peace" as an intermediate creative break. Also using a special technique, this time with UV light.

And this year, before the summer temperatures tightened the conditions again, we returned to the basic idea, a story about relationships. The kind that start with a spark, continue with silence and often fall apart due to misunderstanding. I wanted to point out that in relationships we often think too fast, feel too slow and communicate too little. That sometimes we do not distinguish play from seriousness. And that there is a thin line between courtship and conflict. But if what can save things is love.

The first idea was to make a sequel to the hit Platina in animated form. But when I presented them with the concept and the first tests, we quickly knew: we had to do this "for real". Camera. Dancers. Body. Light. Rhythm.

Why dancers? Because I wanted stylized movement, not typical choreography. Dance was not the goal, but language. Body movement as a relationship between words.

And why pink? Because it's my color. Soft. Bold. Overlooked. And just the right amount of bounce to remind you that you don't always have to be serious to say something important.

With this video I honestly surprised myself. Which is not very often. I'm not a person who easily congratulates myself, I always see what could be better. But this time I feel that we captured something special. Something that goes beyond aesthetics. And for that I'm grateful to the entire team who believed in this vision.

Since Darko Herič was busy filming the series, Vladan Janković took over as director of photography, who had to repeat all the tests with me and convince himself of everything that Darko and I had already tried.

We put our heads together and united the feelings, tastes and ideas with Bevog. This time we wanted something even bolder, even more aromatic, more raw, but still perfectly tuned.

PREPOVEDANA was born - Rock IPA, the younger, wild sister of Ledena, which does not follow the rules, but writes its own story! We used the legendary American Citra hop, which provides a fruity explosion - aromas of grapefruit, citrus, lime, passion fruit are masterfully intertwined with a carefully selected malt base. The beer is intense, but balanced. Loud, but melodic. Wild, but well-balanced.

PREPOVEDANA is a beer for rocker souls. For those with character. For all who do not follow the crowd but play to their own tunes. And above all, for all who allow themselves exactly what is forbidden. ❌

On May 29, 2025, our album X was voted Album of the year, according to the expert jury of the Golden Flute Awards. Additional nominations: Song of the Year (1Minute) and Artist of the Year (Siddharta).

Mir is the 4th single from our album X and the 3rd consecutive video directed by the legendary director Ven Jemeršić. Therefore we will let the man speak for himself:

Every new project is a new challenge for me, an opportunity to explore something unknown. Each time I season it with a technical approach that I have not used in previous creations, as I am constantly driven by the desire to learn new artistic techniques. This year I became the ambassador of the American company Kolari, which deals with camera modifications and the production of filters that enable the research of the visible and invisible spectrum of light.

For the song "Peace" I chose the ultraviolet spectrum, which is invisible to the eye but detected by a special camera. The resulting effect is almost intimate, as if you were to look under someone's skin and reveal the hidden layers of his personality, expressiveness and give him a completely new meaning. The stereotypes of the current trends, where everything is aimed at perfection and beauty, have never appealed to me - and lately I am even more strongly opposed to them. None of the protagonists in the video wore make-up; with the UV technique, we showed them in their most raw and authentic form, as no one has seen them before. We also avoided the limitations of space and layers of clothing that could define us. The performers appeared in front of the camera as they came into the world.

Siddharta is the perfect partner for my irresistibly curious soul who enjoys exploring new horizons. They always support my ideas, which allows us to step into the unknown together and create something unique.
