Saga (2009)

Months of planning and preparation resulted in a project, entitled Siddharta Saga. It opened in the fall of 2008 with the first visit to the studio recording the first three tracks for the new album. Saga continued with the release of the first Saga EP in December, Vojna Idej. It was released in only 1000 copies, wrapped in an artwork by an excellent young artist Blaž Porenta. On the turn of the year Siddharta flew across the ocean, where in the studio in Los Angeles they worked for three months with producer Ross Robinson (known for his work with bands such as Korn, Slipknot, Sepultura, The Cure, Deftones, Machine Head, Soulfly, Norma Jean, At The Drive-In) to record materials for their new album. Even before returning home, the band released the Vojna Idej video, and soon after their return - once again as a limited edition of 1,000 copies and once again illustrated by Blaž Porenta - the second Saga EP is released, Napalm 3. In the summer, Baroko, the third EP, followed. Same limited edition, same creative team. A different video. The end of summer brought about a video that combined Napalm 3 and Baroko in one single story. Last of the EPs foretelling the release of the album was Angel Diabolo.
Saga was released in November 2009. The band escorted Saga on its way to their fans' audio players with a premiering concert in Kino Šiška and with the help of a packed venue of fans.
Five years after their first tour in Germany, Siddharta return to German stages. The audience was excited not only over the live performance of the album but also with its English version available. Yet the band does not forget about their Slovene fans. The homely Orto bar is only the beginning, soon other stages follow, all across Slovenia.
